No pictures today, but suffice it to say that a few inches of festive snow has settled in on Lichenwood to decorate Nature for the Winter Holidays. It’s lovely and sunny outside with the plants tucked in under a white blanket.
The last month has been about as packed with activity as it possibly could be. I’m happy to announce that the flower essences of Lichenwood Herbals are now featured in two more local shops.
Dawn Evans is the proprietress of Sun Moon Stars Herbals in Rollinsford, New Hampshire. It’s a great corner location at 38 Front Street right across from the Mills. Dawn has some a shop filled with love and energy, not to mention herbal teas, body butters and sugar scrubs, scented candles, jewelry and other hand-crafted items from area artisans, and aromatherapy and flower essences from Lichenwood, herbal extracts and salves from Greenwood Herbals in Limerick, Maine, and herbal support for animals from Herbs for Life in York, Maine. There is a class schedule up for December and January. Check it out! I’ve done a bit of holiday shopping there myself!
Ring’s Crossing Natural Food Store just opened at 935 Main Street in Waterboro, Maine. What a blessing to the community! Cheryl Ring added the new store to the building which already housed her popular florist business, Always and Forever. The whole place is beautiful and filled with such good vibes and plenty of herbs, salves, flower essences, essential oils, raw milk, and organic groceries. I feel privileged to have the essences and essential oils there. Opening Day felt like Old Home Day for the greater area herbalists. We were all gathered to take it in, thank Cheryl, take home some groceries and treasures, and just bask in the glow.
I am also pleased to let you know that essential oils from Lichenwood Herbals are now available at Eighth Chakra, 308 Durham Road, in Dover, New Hampshire. Alice Standish has created a wonderful atmosphere for seekers, so warm and welcoming. The essential oils will fit right in with the products that are offered.
These days it is very important to support your local businesses. It is much more personal and rewarding to browse through shops in your own area, finding unique treasures and you will know that your dollars are staying in your community. I am enjoying my local shopping experiences and am very relieved to avoid the malls!
